It’s not your house, as most people would lead you to believe!
Without this asset, you have very little left in your life.
Without this asset, you will not get to experience life the way you want.
Without this asset, you will not generate the finances you hoped for.
Without this asset, you’ll have very little to give to your partner, kids, other family members and friends.
What is it?
Your Health!
We have all experienced poor health or a big injury at some point in our lives.
It is absolutely debilitating..
You cannot do anything for yourself. Others need to wait on you or help you do all the activities of daily living. You have little to no independence. Nor do you have the energy to be ‘in’ your life.
If you are confined to a bed, are in constant pain, limited in what you can do, it’s hard to say that you have a lot.
You could have all the money in the world, a beautiful home, loving family but without your health, you are not able to enjoy it or be present in it the way that you would want.
For years I’ve said to my clients that health does not have to be your #1 priority but in my opinion it’s a non-negotiable that it must be in the top 3 because without it, there is so much of your life that you are missing OR so much of life that you will be missing in the future as a result of poor health today.
You don’t have to be doing everything, nor should you try to, BUT you must be maintaining regular activity and healthy eating in some way each and every day.
Just starting with 10 minutes of walking outside a day and 1 serving of a vegetable is the start. Once that is stabilized then build on it and improve. Never think you have to do it all. Just start and then build on it.
Your health is everything and it impacts absolutely every aspect of your life. Begin to give it the attention it deserves.
10, 20, 30, 50 years down the road, you’ll be thanking yourself for!
