Southlands Riding Club

Southlands Riding Club Southlands Riding Club provides a unique home for equestrian sport and recreation in Vancouver.

Located at the heart of the city's equestrian community, the Club focuses on providing training opportunities for amateur athletes at all levels, from grass roots to Grand Prix. We're a non-profit society that serves approximately 350 riding and non-riding members of all ages and interests. We are also "home" to groups that cater to youth, riders with special needs, and recreational trail riders. The Club encourages volunteer participation, and welcomes visitors at our many public events.

The Cheryl Dewson Ride & Drive is back at the Austeville Summer Kick Off and it's always a crowd favourite! Riders will tackle a course on horseback before jumping off to their their horse for a golf cart challenge that tests speed, skill, and teamwork.

The Butet Team Equitation Challenge isn't just about jumping clear rounds—it's about showcasing complete horsemanship.

Riders will navigate a detailed course before returning for a flat phase where judges may ask for walk, trot, canter, and additional tests. The winning team will be the one that combines strong riding, teamwork, and consistency throughout the competition.

✨ What is the Southlands Summer Soirée? ✨

We've heard from a few people that they didn't know much about this event, so let us tell you why we're excited!

The Summer Soirée is Southlands Riding Club's biggest fundraiser of the year and a chance for our community to come together for an incredible evening of food, dancing, games, laughter, and celebration under the stars.

Most importantly, every ticket sold helps support two major projects that benefit our entire community:

🐴 McCleery Ring Improvements

🎉 SOLD OUT STABLING! 🎉

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that stabling for the SRC Summer Kick Off is officially SOLD OUT! 🐴💙

A huge thank you to our incredible competitors, coaches, owners, and supporters for making this event such a success before the first horse has even stepped in the ring. The response has been overwhelming, and we can't wait to welcome everyone to Southlands this week.

📍 Stabling charts have now been released.
Please take a moment to review your stall assignments and note that stalls have been assigned based on the shavings requested with your entries. To help our volunteers and staff, please ensure you are in the stalls assigned to you.

📦 All stalls include 4 bags of shavings unless otherwise noted. If you require additional bags, please contact us prior to arrival.

🚚 Competitors are welcome to move in Tuesday or Wednesday. If you're planning an early arrival, please send us a quick message so we know you're coming.
