Over the years, both as a soccer coach and player, Coach D has been an integral part of a variety of different teams with a varying degrees of competitiveness and athleticism. When one door closes, another door opens. In 2010 Coach D was in a car accident that left him with soft tissue injuries and unable to play soccer. Being faced with a long road to recovery filled with pain and discomfort, he was referred to Jim Talo of and Carmen Bott of . Under their rehabilitation and guidance, he was not only able to fully recover but at the same time he discovered the power, strength and resiliency of the human body. From this point, his kettlebell journey began and his passion for fitness and helping others was born. Starting with his first Agatsu certification, Coach D has embraced learning about and being a student of kettlebell lifting. As a coach, he is solely focused on the intricacies of body movement and how to use these skills to our advantage and become the best versions of ourselves. It is these experiences and more that are the foundation for his current coaching practices today.
