At just 12 years old, Navshan Dhaliwal showed courage beyond his years. Chasing a daunting 275, the young opener stood tall under pressure, batting deep into the innings and producing a fighting 105 off 112 balls.

The result may not have gone Stallions’ way, and the team remained 35 runs short but Navshan’s innings was a reminder that true character is revealed in the toughest situations. A pure grassroots Stallion, developed through the pathway, rising one step at a time and now reaching a major milestone.

At just 12 years old, Azmin has become the first female cricketer in the history of BCMCL to score a century, achieving a remarkable 109 off 102 balls in the U-17 match that included 14 Fours and 1 Six.

From the very first days in the grassroots program to becoming a record breaker, Azmin’s journey is proof that long-term development, dedication, and belief can create something special. Competing alongside boys, she continues to show exceptional courage, character, and determination every time she steps onto the field.

This is more than a century — it’s a milestone for cricket in British Columbia and an inspiration for the next generation of young girls dreaming of the game.

Congratulations to Azmin, her family, coaches, teammates, and especially her father, whose countless hours of support, sacrifice, and commitment have played a huge role in this historic achievement.
