Start the weekend off right by having a blast! Register the kids to play ‘World Cup’ soccer starting in April at Shaughnessy School. During Spring Soccer we will not keep formal scores except during our competitive “World Cup” matches with prizes. We want players to enjoy the love of the game and to improve their skills without the full intention of winning (even though we encourage players to compete and try their best). Our goal is to foster a lifelong love of the game and the pursuit of physical activity, sportsmanship, friendship, and community.⁠

On the field, women account for 47% of the playing membership and yet we receive less than 10% of the funding. Women account for less than 1% of the decision-making members on national and provincial boards, and are just as invisible as professional coaches, with less than 1% actively working.
