Why is the person next to you doing a completely different squat than you are? 🤔
When our coaches write your SGPT programs, they think about movement patterns before individual
exercises. Take the squat — it’s a fundamental movement pattern, but there are dozens of exercises that
train it: goblet squat, front squat, back squat, split squat, hack squat, bodyweight squat.
One isn’t automatically better than another. A barbell isn’t automatically better than a dumbbell. They’re
all tools.
The real question is: which tool is most appropriate for you right now? That’s where the “personal” in
SGPT comes in — your coach is factoring in your training abilities, current strength, movement competency,
goals, injury history, even your body proportions.
Two people can stand beside each other doing completely different exercises and both be exactly where
they need to be.
Tag your training partner who’s doing a totally different variation of “your” squat this week. 👯

Strength + Conditioning. Both matter.

At Denman Athletics, Personal Training is delivered in a small-group format: a maximum of five members training with a coach at one time.

Our Strength sessions follow a progressive programme designed to help you get stronger over time. Within that session, your coach meets you where you are—adjusting exercises, loads, ranges and progressions as needed, while keeping you moving forward.

Our Conditioning sessions are there to complement that work. They are structured, scalable and repeatable, built to improve fitness and cardiovascular capacity so you can do more inside and outside the gym—without simply leaving you depleted.

The result is simple: get stronger, get fitter, and feel the difference that good coaching, a clear plan and consistent progression can make.
