Benefits:
Warrior 2 strengthens the legs, shoulders, back and chest muscles. Open the rib cage, invigorate the nervous system, improve hips joint movement. This asana provides a great feeling of grounding and confidence. Main: Hips opener, overall body strength, respiration/circulation.

Keys:
Front knee above the heel, hips facing to the side, tail bone tuck in, arms in a line, shoulders above the hips.

Cautions: Sacroiliac injury or inflammation. Ankle, knee or hips injuries.
Level: Beginner

Warrior 1 improve the rotation of the hips and mobilize the spine. This pose offers a full body stretch and strengthening and improves breathing and circulation.

Front knee above heel, Hips facing forward, tail bone tucked in, Legs and core engaged, Chest open and lifted up. Back foot firmly press. Main: Chest Opening, Grounding and Improves Confidence.

Cautions: Knee or hip injuries, blood pressure or difficulty to balance.

Yoga stretches provide a lot of wonderful physical health benefits, such as more flexibility and endurance. However, if incorrect form or movements are used, they can actually lead to very common injuries affecting the back, such as a pulled muscle or pinched nerve, as well as potentially more severe issues like a bulging disc or herniated vertebrae. It’s important to practice proper form and warm-up procedures before performing certain poses or motions to avoid any injury, and to listen to your body to know when to stop and stop your stretch. Additionally, if you’re practicing a new pose, it’s best to have someone on hand to either guide or observe your form as you perform the pose to ensure it's performed correctly.This is where Apex Home Gym comes handy specially if your home and have no expert around 😉. Apex will instruct and then corrects your movements. This way you can avoid any injuries.

Correct exercise creates correct movement patterns

When performing exercises over and over we are reinforcing that behaviour and movement. If you are performing that movement incorrectly you are teaching our body bad habits that can again lead to injuries but also lead to poor training outcomes. It is more important to have quality exercise and movement over quantity of exercise and movement, especially in the initial phases. Once movement quality is established and injury risk is lowered, movement quantity can be increased to achieve the desired training outcomes.

Injury Prevention

Correct technique becomes ever more important if someone has a pre-existing injury or has a more risky health condition. It is important to load through the joints or muscles in order to rehabilitate that area and be able to get back to full function. If exercises are performed incorrectly the target muscles won’t be getting the full benefit of the exercise and therefore taking longer to get back to full function. For people with long-standing injuries, exercise technique becomes crucial if they are exercising and need to be careful of loading up joints in ways that can be harmful.
