**How much have you learned to live around?**

Paige knew where the bathrooms were.

She planned around unpredictable digestive issues. She lived with eczema, anxiety and nights when sleep was hard to find.

And, little by little, those things had simply become her normal.

Until the day an intense gut episode stopped her in her tracks at the entrance to Costco.

That became a turning point.

A friend introduced Paige to Plexus and a conversation about gut health she had never considered before. She decided to try something different.

Nearly 10 years later, she’s still here.

But my favourite part of Paige’s story is WHY she shares it.

She remembers what it felt like to think this was simply how life was going to be.

And she wonders how many other people are doing the same thing.

Sometimes we become so good at accommodating how we feel that we stop asking whether there might be another way.

Paige’s experience is her own, and individual experiences vary. But her story is a beautiful reminder to stay curious about your health.

**What have you quietly started calling “normal”?**

If that question makes you pause, DM me **GUT**. I’d be happy to send you my free Gut Health Check-In and start a conversation. 💛

When my gut felt uncomfortable, my first question used to be:

**“What food caused this?”**

That sounds logical—but it can quickly turn into eliminating more foods, fearing meals and believing your body cannot be trusted.

Food may absolutely be part of the picture. But it is not always the entire picture.

Now I ask wider questions:

What changed?
Was I rushing?
Had I slept poorly?
Was I carrying stress or swallowing something I needed to say?
Is this a one-time reaction or a repeating pattern?

This is not about blaming emotions for physical symptoms. Your symptoms are real.

It is about gathering better information before making another restrictive rule.

Your body is not betraying you, my friend. It may be asking you to slow down, become curious and listen without fear.

For years, I thought my digestive symptoms were only about what I had eaten.

And food certainly mattered.

But looking back, I can also see how often my gut became louder when life felt demanding, I was anxious, or I was holding everything together for everyone else.

The brain and gut are in constant conversation. That means stress may influence appetite, bloating, discomfort and bowel patterns—but it does **not** mean your symptoms are “all in your head.”

Your symptoms are real.

They may also be information.

Instead of immediately asking, “What food did this?” we can widen the question:

What was happening around me?
What was I feeling?
Was I rushing when I ate?
What had I been pretending didn’t bother me?

Healthy aging is not about obsessing over every signal. It is about becoming curious enough to notice patterns before whispers become shouts.

Comment **LISTEN**, my friend, and I’ll share a simple resource to help you begin supporting your gut and quieting the food noise.

I used to think being “easygoing” was always a strength.

Sometimes it was.

Other times, it meant swallowing my words, ignoring what I needed and pretending something did not bother me because honesty might make another person—or me—uncomfortable.

But the body often recognizes tension even when the mouth says, “I’m fine.”

That does not mean every digestive issue is emotional. Gut symptoms deserve proper investigation and support. It does mean our brains, nervous systems and digestive systems continually communicate with one another.

Perhaps healthy aging asks us to become more honest—not harsher, louder or careless, but more honest about what we feel, what we need and what is no longer working.

A filter should remove what is harmful. It should never erase who you are.

The most powerful thing I've done for my health wasn't dramatic.
It was a collection of small, consistent habits that worked together over time.
If you'd like to know what that looked like for me and where I would start if I were beginning today, send me a message. I'd be happy to share.

I've noticed that people who follow me know I help farm women. They know I care deeply about wellness and coaching and community. What they don't always know is what it actually looks like to work with me and I think that's partly my fault for not saying it clearly enough.
Working with me isn't about having all the answers handed to you. It's about having someone in your corner who asks the right questions, who helps you understand what your body is actually asking for, and who stays with you while you figure out what steady support looks like in your real life, not someone else's.
I work with women who are capable and exhausted. Women who have been taking care of everyone around them and haven't had someone asking, how are you actually doing. Women who are ready to stop white-knuckling and start being genuinely supported.
If that sounds like where you are, I'd love to connect. Send me a message or reach out in my DMs. No pressure. Just a real conversation to see if it's a fit.

I've watched women spend years blaming themselves for things their biology was trying to manage and protect.
The weight. The cravings. The exhaustion. These aren't character flaws.
If this sounds familiar, I'd love to talk with you. Send me a message and let's explore what support might look like for your specific situation.

Gut health was one of those things I dismissed for a long time. It felt like another trend. Another thing being sold to women who were already overwhelmed with information. I didn't think I had a gut health problem, I thought I was just tired.
But when I started paying attention, I realized the two weren't separate. The bloating I'd accepted as normal. The mood dips that came out of nowhere. The brain fog that settled in by mid-afternoon. My digestion had been sluggish for so long I'd stopped noticing it — and what I noticed instead was everything else, without ever connecting the dots.
What shifted for me wasn't a dramatic protocol. It was consistently supporting my gut with the right things, day after day, until my body started responding. The fog lifted first. Then my mood steadied. Then my energy didn't crash by two in the afternoon.
If you've been dismissing gut health the way I did, I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm just sharing what I noticed. And if you want to know more about what actually helped me, send me a message, I'd love to talk about it.

For a long time, I filled the gaps in my understanding with self-blame.
Once I started learning what was actually happening inside my body, things made more sense.
I believe every woman deserves that understanding. Not complicated explanations. Just honest information that helps her stop wondering what's wrong with her.

Farm life has a particular kind of stress that most people don't talk about. It's not just the workload. It's the weather you can't control. The financial decisions that keep you up at night. The physical labor that never fully stops. The way you're always responsible for animals, land, equipment, people, even when you're supposed to be resting.
What I didn't understand for a long time is that chronic stress isn't just emotional. It depletes specific nutrients. It raises cortisol in ways that affect blood sugar, digestion, sleep, and metabolism. It tells your body to hold on to weight as a survival strategy. It exhausts the same systems that are supposed to be keeping you energized and regulated.
That's not a personal failing. That's physiology. And for women in agriculture, it's almost a given because we live in an environment of prolonged, unrelenting demand, and most of us were taught to just push through it.
I started understanding my own depletion differently once I realized it wasn't just stress. It was what the stress had been quietly taking from my body for decades. That reframe changed how I approached my own support and it's one of the most important things I share with the women I work with.
