A tradition my sister and I have been doing for years now

Sister hike

Landed on my dads heaven anniversary

One of the most memorable hikes I’ve done so far

Woke up at 3:00 am

Hiked 2 hours through mud, basically mini rivers, to watch the sunrise 🌞

Then hiked more to get to the natural hot springs

Where we have the joys of being the only ones for a couple hours 🙏 to take in the beauty

Unpopular opinion 🫶🏼 More protein is not always better💪

Protein is important, but there comes a point where constantly chasing higher and higher protein can take away from other things your body needs…like

fibre,
carbohydrates,
healthy fats,
hydration,
and proper digestion.

I see many people forcing down protein shakes, bars, and extra servings of meat while still struggling with bloating, constipation, low energy, or digestive discomfort. Sometimes the goal isn’t more protein….

👉it’s improving how well your body digests, absorbs, and utilizes the protein you’re already eating.

👉Health isn’t about eating the most protein. It’s about finding the amount that supports your goals while keeping your digestion, hormones, energy, and overall health in balance

One of the biggest misconceptions I see in the health world is the belief that everyone needs more probiotics and fermented foods.

While fermented foods can be incredibly beneficial for some people, they aren’t always the answer for everyone.

In fact, I’ve seen many people experience increased bloating, gas, discomfort, skin flare-ups, brain fog, and inflammation when adding probiotics or fermented foods too quickly.

Why?

Because the body isn’t just one symptom.

It’s a system.

If your bowels aren’t moving properly, if your liver is overwhelmed, if inflammation is already present, or if your digestive system isn’t functioning optimally, adding more bacteria may not address the root cause.

Sometimes the focus needs to be on…

✨ Supporting healthy bowel movements
✨ Reducing inflammation
✨ Improving digestion and stomach acid
✨ Supporting the liver and detoxification pathways
✨ Nourishing the nervous system
✨ Looking at what is creating stress within the body

Health is rarely about finding one magic supplement.

It’s about understanding what your body is asking for and supporting the systems that work together every single day.
