The gate at Dakota Ridge will be closed for the season tomorrow, March 31. 🚧

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the trails this winter—we hope you had a fantastic season! ⛷️✨

A huge thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers 💙 who help make Dakota Ridge such a special place. From welcoming guests and sharing trail tips to keeping the warming hut fire crackling 🔥, your energy and enthusiasm make all the difference.

🙌 Interested in volunteering next season?
Dakota Ridge runs on the support of dedicated volunteers. We ask for a commitment of just two shifts per month from mid-December to March, and in return, you’ll receive:
🧥 A cozy ski jacket to use during your shifts
🎫 A complimentary Dakota Ridge season pass

It’s a great way to give back, meet people, and enjoy the outdoors all winter long! 🌲❄️

Dakota Ridge is a winter recreational area on a 1,532 acre plateau that features 20 kilometres of world class cross country ski trails (classic and skate), 4 kilometres of groomed snowshoe trails, 3 kilometres of wilderness snowshoe trails, and a sledding area.

Recent weather systems have brought enough snow accumulation back to allow for a phased reopening as conditions improve.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Dakota Ridge!

🌤️ Trail Conditions Update – Feb 3 | 9:30 a.m. ❄️

🌡️ Current conditions: 5°C and partly cloudy
🌧️ Recent rain and warmer temperatures have reduced the snow base to 45 cm, with hazards and watercourses now exposed.

🚜 Grooming is currently paused, and 🚫 many trails are closed until we receive more snow.

⚠️ Avoid the road if you can — all traffic must give way to the plow.

❄️ Upper road = slippery! Snow tires & chains are a must. Stay safe!
