Yikes! 😲

There was a small hiccup with the letter-writing link on our website. If you tried to send your letter and got an error code, please try again! We're up and running and are asking for all the support we can muster. Because...

Registered Massage Therapists are integral partners in interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

The majority of integral partners in team-based care are tax-free to patients.

Make Massage Therapy Tax Free.

Physiotherapy, chiropractic, and psychotherapy are all exempt from GST/HST. Massage therapy — the same regulated health care, often in the same clinic — is still taxed.

One of the most common misconceptions clients bring into a session is that deep tissue means as much pressure as possible.

Real deep tissue work is about accessing specific layers of muscle with the right technique, not just pushing harder. The therapists who understand this protect their bodies, get better results, and have clients who actually feel better the next day instead of just sore.

How do you handle clients who ask for more pressure than what is appropriate for them? Tell us below.

Today is the launch of CMTA's campaign to remove the GST/HST on massage therapy in the 2026 federal budget - removing the tax lowers the cost of care for patients.

This is about affordability.

Hey folks, we are looking for help from you lovely people again on some issues that our friends from need a hand with! ❤️

Some of our vulnerable community members need our help and so we've partnered with and for a personal hygiene donation drive for Thrive.

We're looking for body wash, shampoo, conditioner and/or deodorant to help stock Thrive's supply cupboard for folks this summer. If you're able, we'll be accepting donations throughout the month of June at the pub. Each donation will receive an entry to win a prize pack generously donated by our friends at Quidi Vidi, Collingwood's, and we're throwing in a gift card as well. 👏

Its never been a problem getting some donations through our doors because you are all so good to us & the community, but a couple little prizes from the crews at QV & Collingwoods wouldn't be too shabby 😉

We'll be accepting donations for the rest of the month. If you don't mind, give this post a share to help spread the word. Thank you very much. Cheers 🍻
