As I relax on Mother’s Day I thought I would share another quilt story. My son and his girlfriend just gifted this quilt to their friends who are awaiting the arrival of their first baby. This is my second ABC panel quilt with a different border design and some new stitching approaches. 💐

My newest creation. This quilt was made at the request of my son’s girlfriend. Sara wanted to gift a quilt to her brother and sister in law for her future niece/nephew. The fabrics selected were based on what she felt they would like.

The pattern “Snuggle Bunny” by jedicraftgirl.com was adapted to include a wide border on the front. The animal print called “Spring Awakening” is perfect for a spring arrival. This fabric and the backing were from Sunshine and Peony (Bolton), while the other fabrics were from Country Concessions Quilt Store (Cookstown).

The tiny quilt was a little extra for the future toddler to play with. ❤️

Memory Quilt Story:

This winter I learned a new technique. I was asked by my husband’s cousin to make two quilts in memory of her daughter Caitlyn who passed away. Caitlyn’s clothes were used for blocks. She loved the colors blue and purple and butterflies were released after her memorial service. Hence the fabrics used for the border and back of each quilt were thoughtfully selected based on these reflections. ❤️

Happy new year everyone. I’m excited to share my newest quilt which was gifted to my niece yesturday at her baby shower. I love the vibrant colors, future learning and the under the sea fabric, the theme of the babies nursery.❤️

My handsome Grand dog Gordon sporting his new Xmas bandana and posing in front of his families new Christmas stockings.

The quilted stockings may be a great offering next year as I just completed another custom order.
