Our last award to feature is a special one. The Gail Brown Skating Legacy award celebrates not only Gail, but several other founding members of our club. We are grateful to continue to keep the tradition of having a skating club in Tweed going! Kendall is the perfect recipient of this award. Kendall is one of our most senior skaters and has demonstrated her commitment to the sport and to our club. Kendall is now a certified coach and is also a member of the Fusion Synchronized Skating Team. Thank you so much for your passion and energy Kendall and a special thank you to Marjorie Rivers, a former skater in the club for presenting this award.

The Way/Lessard Award for Skating Development recognizes hard working skaters in our CanSkate program who have shown a dedication and positive attitude as they have refined their skills. This year two skaters stood out as being perfect for this recognition ❤️ Darla and Rowan ❤️

These two have shown remarkable dedication not only this year, but in the last few years. They consistently give their best effort and remain attentive to their coaches guidance. Whenever they master a new skill their smiles can be seen across the ice which reflect the amount of joy they have for this sport!
