Our own Andy Van Buskirk is reppin’ his Club with his Tusket Tennis Centre gear at the men’s 3.0 event in the Tennis Nova Scotia Fall Classic this weekend, hosted by the Sobeys Atlantic Tennis Centre in Bedford.

Andy won his first two matches and is playing in the quarterfinal this afternoon.

Keep it going Andy!

Congratulations to the winners of our Open Doubles and Davis Cup team events.

Last night in the Open Doubles final, Carol d’Entremont and Marcel Pothier won gold over the team of Florian Cossa and Dexter Jiminez in a very entertaining match.

Earlier this month, the team of Ryan Macdonald, Andy van Buskirk and Dave Leblanc eked out a 2-1 win in the final of our Davis Cup singles/doubles team event.

The final of our 110+ combined age doubles event is this Saturday.

Congratulations to all the participants!

CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE: April 4-7

A reminder to our members and guests that the Club will be closed for repairs to the court surface starting on Friday April 4th until midday on Monday April 7th.

We apologize for the inconvenience but we really need to repair the court surface adjacent to both baselines.

Stay tuned for updates over the weekend!

No one puts more into chasing down shots than our members at the Tusket Tennis Club.

Last year we saw Chad Avery run right through the side door and this week Mike Doucette "slid safely into home" while trying to track down a nasty drop shot.

Love the intensity, but that's gonna a leave a mark (or two)...😅

2025 Doubles Open Tournament: Final Results

Congratulations to all the players who competed in this year's Open event of our annual doubles tournament.

Unfortunately, one of the teams was forced to withdraw which left three teams to duel it out in the round robin. The level of play was very high and every match, including today's gold medal final, went the full distance with a tiebreaking set.

Ultimately, the team of Chad Avery and Kevin Gobien prevailed in a tight, roller coaster of a match against Andy Van Buskirk and Dexter Jimenez by a score of 1-6, 7-5, 6-4 to win the gold medal.

Third place went to Calvin Smith and Marcel Pothier.

Thanks again to everyone and we're looking forward to our Club's version of the Davis Cup team event to begin next month!

2025 Doubles 110+ Tournament Final Results

Congratulations to the medal winners and finalists in the 110+ event of this year's Doubles Tennis Tournament. Every match in both the round robin and medal rounds was close in score and packed with some amazing rallies and shot-making!

In today's Bronze medal match, the team of Darren Cottreau and Don Cain fought past the team of Dwayne Surette and Chris Kenney.

In a very tight (and at times tense lol) Gold medal match, the team of Paul Comeau and Jim Gavel was barely edged out by the eventual gold medal winning team of Rob Semple and Ray Tynski.

Shot of the tournament has to go to Rob Semple with a jaw-dropping cross court backhand winner off a beautifully placed lob by Jim Gavel at a crucial point of the Gold medal final. The whole stadium went wild....🤣

Looking forward to next week's match play in a stacked Open event!
