Iβm realizing itβs not about the WHAT - itβs about the HOW
Itβs not about Izzy and I doing flying changes - (the what) - what itβs really about FOR ME (nowβ¦.) is how we are doing them
Meaningβ¦. Is there tension, anxiety, Resistance and reactionβ¦. OR β¦. Is there relaxation, trust, confidence, harmony
Over the last few years Izzy and I have been working on THE HOW
We went back to what we can do together with relaxation, trust, confidence and harmony
Which was really a 20m circle
Back to the very basics
Building on what we can do together keeping THE HOW as our focus - letting go of WHAT we are doing.
This has also led me to look at HOW we spend our time together
Variety keeps us in harmony - balancing all Aspects of our relationship and building a well rounded athlete in each of us - together
I have found a 3 day cycle that works great π
One day we graze, we groom, we pony off the side by side for physical exercise
The next day we ride out on a trail ride together - focusing on walking out and relaxing - building stamina and strength out of arena
The third day we do arena work - working on the movements and elements, which has been very productive!
Izzy has taught me so much π Iβm glad she has been patient with me πwe are learning to grow togetherβ¦β¦ and thank you to our coach Lindsey Stroh for guiding us, and supporting us on this adventure π€ and to Shauna Edwards our therapist π for the physical, emotional and spiritual guidance and support π AND Stephanie Muir my Pilates coachβ¦ as my strength, stamina, flexibility grows in my Pilates work - the under saddle work grows too!!!!
