Congratulations to this year’s inductees into the President’s Student-Athlete Honour Roll (GPA over 3.5).
They were recognized earlier this week at a special gala with McGill President Deep Saini.

Our team had the privilege of visiting Bauer’s Research & Development facility! 🔬🏒

We got to meet with engineers, designers, testers and more, diving into how the best hockey gear in the game is built.

It was an awesome chance to strengthen our connection with Bauer and see firsthand how our role in equipment testing fits into the process 🙌.

Huge thank you to Bauer for the incredible experience!

ALUMNI ALERT: McGill University forward Zach Gallant (2022-2025) has been named to the training camp roster of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the NHL club announced Wednesday.

McGill, which has produced more than 220 players who graduated to the professional ranks, has seen 18 of its alumni play in the NHL.

On Sept. 30, the McGill men’s varsity hockey team will face off against Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in an exhibition match like no other. The game won’t be held at McConnell Arena but in the Innu community of Mashteuiatsh, nearly 500 kilometres north of Montreal.

For Mikisiw Awashish, a senior forward for the Redbirds and the driving force behind the event, this game is about much more than hockey. It’s about giving back to his hometown, fostering representation and sparking dreams in young Indigenous players who, like him, grew up skating on the local rink.

ALUMNI ALERT! McGill Hockey alumnus Ryan McKiernan has signed a one-year contract with the Löwen Frankfurt of Germany’s Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), continuing a distinguished playing career highlighted by four European league titles and the University Cup national banner with McGill in 2011-12. A big congrats from the entire McGill Hockey family!

Cheers to our alumni who came out to our annual 5 à 7 hosted at . It was great connecting several generations of alumni dating as far back as Des Senior who played in the 1960’s.
