ATHLETES OF THE WEEK✈️

Kirsten Fehr - Women’s X-Country and Basketball.
Kirsten as a first year athlete has shown she belongs in college sport. This past week saw her give her best both on the court and on the course. On the court she scored 21 points and had 15 rebounds over the two games as the Pilots went 1-1. On the course she competed with the women’s Cross Country at the ACAC Grand Prix hosted by Red Deer and ran a personal best that was close to a minute faster than her previous time.

Ezra Amendt- Men’s Basketball
The first year athlete was a key contributor in two league wins this week. Over two games Amendt filled the stats sheet with 14 rebounds, 7 steals, 8 assists and 19 points as the Pilots continued to set the pace for PAC going 2-0 on the week with an average margin of victory of nearly 17 points.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK✈️

“Jessica Gray is my athlete of the week for WBB. Jessica is a returning player who provides our team with strong leadership both on and off the court. In our game against Burman University Jessica led the team with 17 points, went 5 for 5 from the free throw line and had 5 rebounds. Her composure and calmness during the entire game and especially in the final minutes helped lead the Lady Pilots to a 56-54 victory. This is the first victory for the women’s basketball program in many years and looks to be the start of something great here for the 2026 Prairie College Women’s Basketball Program” -Coach Angie

“Nolan was tied for the leading scorer on the team for the Pilots first win of the season at home against the Burman Bobcats. Nolan played with passion and purpose in this game and it’s no surprise that he filled up that stats sheet” said coach Bob Murray. “Nolan is a physical player and has been a great addition to our team. We are looking forward to more games like this one in our Pilots Men’s Basketball season.”

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK✈️

“Sydney, a standout newcomer, continues to impress with remarkable improvement in every race. Last week, she faced challenging conditions, including high elevation, strong winds, and a hilly course, but remained calm and composed, letting her faith and determination guide her to success. We look forward to seeing where her talent and spirit take her next!” - Coach Chan.
Sydney also finished in the top 10 during the women’s 6k race, allowing Prairie to place third in the ACAC Grand Prix.

“Isaac was the anchor in the Pilots’ defense this past weekend.  Isaac lead others on the team through his experience, hard work and encouragement that made him a standout performer despite the losses.” - Coach James
