This weekend, some of our athletes took on Tamarack Race Weekend in Ottawa….from the 10KM to the Half Marathon everyone absolutely crushed it!

Every finish represented months of consistency, discipline, and hard work. One of the coolest things to see is how well CrossFit and strength training carry over into events like these. Running races isn’t just about logging kilometres, your body also needs strength, stability, and resilience to handle the impact and fatigue that come with race day.

Because the truth is: running alone doesn’t fully prepare your body for running.

Building strength helps support your joints, improve posture and mechanics under fatigue, and create a more durable athlete overall. The work done in the gym matters just as much as the work done on the road.

We are incredibly proud of every athlete who trained for this weekend and crossed that finish line!❤️

Raise your hand if your wins are followed by a “but…” or a comment diminishing your success.

“But I scaled.”
“I still have so far to go.”
“I’ll be happy when I get there.”

But what if there was never meant to be a final destination? What if the point is learning to appreciate yourself through every stage of the journey?

Cheer on the beginner version of yourself. Give the struggling version or yourself grace. Savour your successes.

You are not behind. You are right where you’re supposed to be. Don’t chase down the clock waiting until you finally feel good enough to be proud of yourself. So train hard, chase goals, work for more! But don’t forget to give yourself credit for how far you’ve come and be kind to yourself along the way. Future you, will thank you❤️
