I donāt really āmeal prep.ā I get asked for meal prep ideas or for meal plans, but it's just not my jam. I won't give something I don't use š¤·āāļø.
Eating the same thing over and over? Hoping Iām in the mood for it 3 days later?
Yeah⦠no, hard pass for meš
What I do instead is prep ingredients. It makes eating better feel way more doable in real life.
Iāll cook a batch of something simple like chicken or ground beef, wash and cut up some fruit and veggies,
maybe make a pot of rice or roast some potatoesā¦and then I just build meals as I go.
So one day itās: chicken, rice, veggies
Next day: wrap with the same chicken, some greens, whatever sauce I feel like
Another day: throw it on a salad or beside eggs
Same ingredients, but different meals and zero boredom
And more importantly, Iām not standing in my kitchen at 6pm wondering what to eat and about to grab whateverās easiest.
If meal prep has never stuck for you, try this instead. Donāt prep full meals, just prep the parts.
It gives you structure and flexibilityā¦which is usually what real life actually needs.
