Trail Stingrays

The Official page for the Trail Stingrays. The Stingrays is a swim club for residents 5 years and up from Trail, Beaver Valley, Warfield and Rossland.

We promote competitive speed swimming through regular training and regional competitions. Funds to pay coaches' salaries and pool rental fees are raised through swimmer fees, donations, provincial grants and other fundraising activities. The swim team program runs year round but intensifies with increased training and competitions during the summer session which starts in May and finishes in July.

Training takes place in the Warfield and Trail pools. We are registered with the British Columbia Summer Swimming Association (BCSSA). The BCSSA exists to promote, encourage and develop an individual's capacity to achieve excellence and life skills through participation in competitive aquatic activities. Speed swimming is the largest aquatic component of BCSSA competition and includes Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, Individual Medley and Relays. Competitors are separated into seven divisions based on age.

Big congratulations to our small but mighty crew who represented us at Provincials in Prince George this year! We’re so proud of all the hard work and swims that got you there. Shout-out to Paul for bringing home a provincial medal for the team — such an awesome way to cap off the season!

Big congratulations to our June Swimmers of the Month!

Junior stars Naomi & Molly and Senior standouts Everett & Aspen brought hustle, heart, and team-first energy all June. From tough sets to loud cheers, you four lifted the whole team. Way to go!!

Huge congratulations to our swimmers who competed at the Kimberley meet two weeks ago! Even with a smaller crew than usual, our team showed up with heart, energy, and some amazing swims. We’re so proud of every one of you — way to represent! 💙

Attendance was low but the vibes were high at Colville this weekend!
With no official team points announced (yet) it’s hard to say who won the meet, but I think we have a good shot 😉

Late post, but what a weekend! The Stingrays came out on top in Castlegar, finishing 1st in overall points once again! Huge shoutout to our amazing team who completed the mile swim — congrats! 🏊💪 Go Stingrays!

Our team gave it their all and came away with an incredible 2nd place overall finish!

• Swimmers with no “A” times as listed on the enclosed cutoff times chart are eligible to swim at the meet in any event(s).
• Swimmers with one “A” time as listed on on the enclosed cutoff times chart are eligible to swim at the meet in any event(s) except the event in which the swimmer has an “A” time.
• Swimmers with “A” times in any 2 or more events as listed on on the enclosed cutoff times chart are NOT eligible to swim at the meet.
