Congratulations to Kinsmen SC, our Playoff Cup Champions!
After losing the league title to W-FC and falling to them twice during the regular season, Kinsmen finally found a way to win when it mattered most to secure their first title. Both teams were depleted by injuries and vacations, missing several key players, but the show went on—and both teams delivered a classic.
W-FC controlled the first half, leaving Kinsmen trailing 2-0 at the break. However, a tactical formation change helped Kinsmen pull one back early in the second half. While both sides had plenty of chances, the score remained 2-1 until the very last minute. That’s when Captain Ritvik stepped up, scoring the crucial equalizer to tie the game at 2-2.
After that dramatic finish, the match went to penalties. Leo, who has been magnificent throughout the playoffs, proved his worth once again. Following a string of incredible saves during regulation, Leo scored the third penalty and saved two others to clinch the championship for Kinsmen FC. It was a proud moment for his son to see his dad become the hero!
Notably, this was W-FC’s first loss of the entire season.
