Keeping a healthy mind comes from making personal healthy choices. And by healthy, I don’t necessarily mean food or exercise (in this case). I mean, what do you love to do that brings joy + meaning to your life that helps your mental state?

My personal choices that help keep my mind on track and healthy are:

- Investing 1 hour at the gym 5-6 times a week. It is my “escape” from the daily grind where I focus on myself and nothing else.

- Playing piano to get my creative juices flowing + as an avenue for self expression.

- Dancing to anything Latin (I need to do more of it 💃🏻)

The struggle is real here.
Who else sets a goal for themselves and expects it to happen right away?

Me, over here!
I am the biggest culprit of this!

Here are some tools to help you manage the instant gratification expectation:

1) Accept the fact that it won’t happen overnight.
2) One foot in front of the other - you don’t need to see the end goal, just the next step you are going to take
3) Keep going even when you don’t want to - this is where growth and progress happen!!!

These 3 strategies have helped me reach goals + dreams that I thought were too big to become reality (spoiler alert: they are now my reality!)
