Recommendations of VALUE Stallions in KY to Breed to in 2021
The following recommended list of KY Stallions/Sires are categorized into four groups, based up your purpose for breeding. Sires for breeding to sell your mare in foal, sires for breeding to sell the resulting weanling, sires for breeding to sell the offspring as a yearling, or as a two year old, and finally sires for breeding to race the resulting horse yourself.
Part of the criteria I used for the selection of the Value Stallions in the first three categories is based upon my belief that by breeding to them, they will provide the best return on investment and also, because they will not have had any offspring to race before the mare, weanling, yearlings and 2 year-olds are in the sales ring. The final category is obviously my list of sires for value when breeding to produce and keep the offspring for racing.

The 2021 Breeding Fees listed here, are the published fees listed in the Blood-Horse. Note that some stallion farms are flexible regarding the breeding fee and that one needs only to ask.
