Throwback to my MESSY "Return to Dance"🤸🏽♀️rehab plan that's really WORKING! I combined my youth baseball ⚾️ drills with my kids coaching and exercise therapy tools to get back to feeling and moving better.
I was motivated after I saw the crazy fit Misty Copeland, the American Principal Ballet dancer, have a total hip replacement at only 42 yrs-old.
I feel dancers don't get treated the same way as athletes do, because they aren't seen the same way. Yet we get full-time jobs, are known to help with depression and dementia prevention, and are the 1st choice of entertainment for weddings, events, and festivals.
Dealing with knee osteoarthritis and tendonitis, and a hip impingement sucked, because I was starting to feel better from jaw pain. But, as my grandma says, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going."
I'm sharing this for our members and my instructors, because I know they feel for me.
Note: while I did this for myself, I do not allow injured participants to join any programs under me or any instructors under me without a doctor's clearance.
