Having a hard time getting out of that winter funk? One of the most common problems people have after the holidays is getting back on the bag.
1. Don’t over do it! When you come in for your first class after some time off just focus on hitting light and keeping your hands up, take small steps. You want to be aiming for about 50-65 % of your power.
2. Stay consistent. Stick to the same training time for boxing every week. Make it a non-negotiable “you time”. After 2-3 weeks you can start adding on more training days as you heat up again!
3. Don’t neglect your joints! Build some shoulder and back endurance through drills, stretching, physio if necessary.
4. Don’t beat yourself up! Missed a session, over ate? Don’t implode, get back to the drawing board and keep it rolling 🥊
