SERIOUS RIMFIRE SHOOTERS — THIS IS A GAMECHANGER!

🌬️ LIVE WEATHER. LIVE BALLISTICS. REAL-TIME DOPE CORRECTIONS.

We put the Calypso Instruments All-in-One × Black Ridge Precision ARQ combination to work at our latest match, and it's seriously impressive!

I had the Calypso All-in-One mounted on a tripod, collecting live environmental data, while we worked behind the firing line using a phone, the ARQ ballistic solver, and a $30 NIIMBOT portable printer to produce individual stage-by-stage DOPE cards for our newer shooters!

🖨️ AND HERE'S THE GAMECHANGER...

Import your course of fire directly into ARQ, calculate your ballistic solutions, and print stage-specific DOPE cards in seconds!

Live weather → Real-time corrections → Printed DOPE cards.

No guesswork. No scribbling out cards. Just the information shooters need, right in their hands!

And with ARQ calculating your corrections and hit probability, it's getting pretty damn hard to miss! 🎯

Massive thanks to Erin at Calypso Instruments and Johann at Black Ridge Precision for helping us bring this technology directly to our shooters!

We'll be incorporating this system into our Shooter Ready Marksmanship training programs and our 2027 Winter Warriors League, where temperature changes and accurate environmental data really come into their own.

30 MINUTES TO MATCH START. ONE R***E IN PIECES. ONE VERY QUESTIONABLE DECISION. 🤦‍♂️😂

Apparently, being Match Director wasn't stressful enough... so I decided it was the perfect time to build our new loaner/training r***e! 🤣

Massive thanks to MDT for supplying the awesome XRS chassis, and to Chris Williams for stepping in and actually getting the thing together while I tried to keep the match running! 👊

Another big step forward for the Hooligan Promotions training program! 🎯

Lesson learned? Never underestimate how much chaos you can squeeze into 30 minutes! 😂

🎯🌬️ ONE STEP CLOSER TO RANGE READY!

Can't wait to get this rig out on the firing line!

We've brought together the Calypso Ultrasonic Portable Mini wind meter and WeatherDot, Black Ridge Precision's ARQ ballistic software, and a Vortex rangefinder in one tripod-mounted setup.

The only thing missing? A mounting adapter for our $30 NIIMBOT portable printer!

Once fitted, we'll be able to generate and print stage-specific DOPE cards right on the firing line, combining environmental data with ballistic calculations. 🎯

🔥 SHOOTING AT DUNNVILLE ON OCTOBER 31ST?

This rig will be on the firing line at Dunnville District Hunters & Anglers for everyone to check out and use to get their DOPE for the match!

It's a great opportunity to see the technology firsthand, ask questions, and experience how environmental data can improve your shooting.

We're also looking forward to using this setup during our Winter Warriors series and Introduction to PRS classes with Shooter Ready Marksmanship.

Huge thanks to Erin at Calypso Instruments and Johann at Black Ridge Precision for their support!

CALYPSO INSTRUMENTS!

Our new Calypso Mini AB ultrasonic wind meters, Portable Mini wind instruments, and WeatherDot weather stations have landed!

I'm really looking forward to getting everything unboxed, charged up, and out on the range for testing.

These instruments will be a regular feature on the Hooligan Promotions firing line for the remainder of 2026 and throughout our 2027 season.

We're also incorporating them into our Introduction to PRS classes, co-hosted with Shooter Ready Marksmanship, giving students hands-on experience with environmental monitoring and its importance in precision shooting.

🌬️ Our upcoming Winter Warriors series will be a particularly interesting opportunity to demonstrate how temperature and changing weather conditions affect rimfire ballistics.

We'll also be testing integration with Black Ridge Precision's ARQ software, combining environmental measurements with ballistic calculations and printable DOPE cards.

A big thank you to Erin and the team at Calypso Instruments for their support. Looking forward to putting this equipment through its paces!
