The power of the pack is connection, the power of the pack is support, the power of the pack is diversity. We all have goals of some sort, and working in a pack is a network of support so they we don’t need to feel alone. What makes us humans is our ability to connect, and when we combine our individual drive, our individual goals and put them into a supportive pack, superhuman feats can be accomplished. Seven years of FLYT.
On Sunday, March 1, we gathered to celebrate the people who make this place what it is.

I’m finally catching a breath and excited to start sharing some of the amazing memories from that day, along with a few reflections on everything we’ve built and grown over the past seven years. Stay tuned all week.

I love this image because it captures something at the core of FLYT. People coming together as a team who may have never crossed paths outside these doors. But inside this space, they shared a common goal, supported each other, and had a good time doing it. That’s what makes this place special. Different backgrounds. Different starting points. Different stories.

Belonging doesn’t mean having the same body type, the same abilities, the same background, or even the same goals. Belonging means acceptance. Belonging means support. Belonging means shared values.

What connects us here isn’t sameness. It’s diversity. Different strengths. Different challenges. Different paths that intersect in one place with a shared commitment to becoming stronger mentally and physically. That diversity isn’t something we tolerate. It’s something we celebrate. Because it makes all of us stronger.

Strength looks different on everyone. But the commitment to grow and show up for yourself and the community is what connects us.

2026. Starting the year off in true Loni fashion, with an apology (my therapist says I need to stop apologizing, just one more I promise lol).

This year feels different.
As we close in on seven years since I first opened the doors at FLYT, I’ve never felt more excited about the year ahead. For the first time in a long time, this year isn’t about survival or reinvention. It feels like a true clean slate, with the COVID years and the debts they carried finally behind us. 

Fueled by the incredible community we serve, this year is about clarity and momentum.
Clear in what we offer.
Clear in what we stand for.
And confident enough to state what we are not.

We’re moving forward anchored in intention, not trends, not noise, not the chase.
FLYT has always been about building strength that carries into real life.
About connection over performance.
About creating a place that feels steady in a world that often doesn’t.

We won’t be everything to everyone. We're not for everyone and that's okay.
But we will continue to be deeply committed to the people we’re here for.

Thank you for trusting us with your time, your energy, and your movement.
Thank you to all the coaches for being such beautiful extensions of the seed I planted long ago.

No high intensity circuits. No burpees. No Olympic lifting.
Just small group (max 8) coaching, slower pace, and zero intimidation.

Learn the fundamentals: squat, hinge, lunge, push, press, and build the confidence to join our regular strength classes.

Celebrating the FAILS as much as the WINS... hear me out -

A common discussion with the coaches is that many individuals simply do not know what their true capacity is. They think they are lifting 'heavy' when we know they have so much more, but maybe never tried or felt true heavy. In order to get stronger we need to replace our fear failure with our curiosity for testing our true capacity and realizing our potential. Training to failure is one important tool in building strength.

We've had some fails in my Saturday strength class over the past month and I couldn't be prouder. Lots of people picking up a heavier weight and giving it a go. And from those fails in the weeks that have followed, we've had some big wins!!!! Big gains!

So if you're at FLYT to build strength, trust us as your coaches. We're going to equip you with the proper form, technique and the confidence so that when we do cue you to pick up something heavier, you're set up for success... maybe a few fails lol... but eyes on the prize - strength gains!
