Step 1: Find the cause (saves you from getting another flat right away).

Check these in order and BLOW AWAY FLATS

1. Pinch flat ("snake bite") – Two small slits side-by-side. Caused by hitting a pothole/curb with low pressure. Fix: Inflate to correct PSI.
2. Puncture – A tiny hole from glass, thorn, or wire. Fix: Run your finger (carefully!) inside the tire and find the sharp object stuck there.
3. Valve damage – Bent or torn at the base. Fix: Tighten the nut gently or replace.
4. Rim tape issue – Spoke hole poking through. Fix: Replace or re-center the rim tape.

Pro tip: Align the tire label with the valve stem. When you find the hole in the tube, match it to that spot on the tire to locate the culprit.
