The life you want to build and the woman you want to become is on the other side of being able to do really hard things. And if you wait until you feel motivated, until you’re in the perfect mood, or until life feels easy, you’ll never get there.

Moods and motivation are unreliable and can fail us. But the daily commitment of showing up for yourself, especially on the days you don’t feel like it, builds character, resilience, REAL confidence and hope. You teach yourself in your consistency that you are capable of doing hard things and that will inevitably affect every other area of your life. This is how you build self-trust and drive.

But discipline doesn’t mean pushing yourself at 100% every single day. Some days you’ll have more energy than others. Adjust your workouts to your stress levels, your capacity, and what your body needs. Take a real rest day when you’re unwell. And give yourself grace when you need it.

Lastly but most importantly, find movement you genuinely LOVE. You can challenge yourself, work hard, and get stronger without forcing yourself to do things you hate. There’s actual research on this, that wellness based exercises vs outcome makes a huge difference in consistency and long-term motivation. The goal is to build a life you actually want to live, not one you constantly have to force yourself through. If what you’re doing is hardening you and increasing pressure and control in your life, that isn’t it babe. You want to feel like it’s making you feel more capable, free, joyful, sexy, juicy, alive, and healthy. Come on! 💪💃🏋🏻‍♀️

Personal/professional update:

After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the decision to move to a new neighbourhood in Toronto this December, which also means saying goodbye to my current private practice location.

Saturday, December 5, 2026, will be my final day of appointments at my private practice in Liberty Village.

After that, my private practice will be on hiatus as I make this transition and take time to rest and enjoy the holidays with family and loved ones. I’ll be sharing updates on new clinic locations and appointment availability for the new year.

If you’d like to book a treatment before December 5, I encourage you to schedule your appointment while availability remains.

I also want to take a moment to express how grateful I am for each of you. Whether you’ve been seeing me for years or we’ve only recently started working together, thank you for trusting me with your care, sharing your stories, and allowing me to be part of your health and wellness journey.

One of the most rewarding parts of being an RMT has been the meaningful relationships I’ve built, witnessing you grow in your relationship with your own body, and the wonderful community I’ve had the privilege of cultivating through this work.

While this chapter is coming to a close, I’m looking forward to a new year filled with travel, continued education, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Thank you for your continued support, kindness, and trust. I hope to see many of you again in the new year!

With love,

Nicole 🤍

Unfiltered chats on my couch with my good friend Steph, a personal trainer and athlete 🎙️ I’m a Registered Massage Therapist and holistic health & wellness educator, and we’re talking about the things we yap about anyway!

This clip: transforming your mindset for breakthrough and building confidence through evidence. 💪🏼

It’s easy to fall into an all-or-nothing mindset, especially when navigating pain, health challenges, exhaustion, or having an off day.

But showing up for yourself doesn’t always mean pushing through a heavy workout. Sometimes it’s choosing lighter movement, mobility, or simply meeting yourself where you’re at.

And sometimes, you might surprise yourself by realizing you’re capable of more than you initially thought!

Every time you show up, you have an opportunity to build evidence of what you’re capable of. And over time, that evidence helps build confidence and trust in yourself.

It’s not always about doing more. It’s about learning when to challenge yourself and when to give yourself grace. 🌱

Full conversation covers so much more — mindset, nervous system regulation, mobility, lymphatic drainage, and what it actually means to work out in a way that feels good for you.

Another one in the books 📚✨

I just wrapped up 4 full days of Lymphatic Drainage Therapy Level 1 training with the Chikly Health Institute, and I’m excited to bring what I’ve learned into my practice.

This training gave me new techniques, a waaaay deeper understanding of the lymphatic system, and an even more intentional approach to supporting lymphatic flow through hands-on work.

It was also incredibly eye-opening. Even within regulated healthcare professions, our foundational education can only take us so far. Science, research and our understanding of the human body continue to evolve, and specialized areas like the lymphatic system have so much more depth than what can realistically be covered in our initial training.

When we choose to work with people’s bodies, especially something as complex as the lymphatic system, we have a responsibility to keep learning, stay curious, understand our limitations and seek out the best education we can. The more I learn, the more I realize how much there is still to learn. I knew I had gaps in understanding this system so I’m glad I took this course.

You’ll start seeing these techniques thoughtfully incorporated into my therapeutic lymphatic drainage sessions, as well as integrated into regular Swedish Massage and Fascial Stretch Therapy where appropriate.

I’ve also updated my health history intake forms to better screen for lymphatic considerations and make sure treatment is individualized and within my scope of practice.

With this deeper understanding also comes a greater appreciation for when more specialized care is needed. Until I complete Level 2 of my training, new clients with diagnosed or suspected lymphedema will be referred to a lymphedema-certified practitioner. Current clients affected by this change are welcome to reach out so we can discuss an updated care plan and appropriate referrals in the meantime.

Always learning. Always refining. Always adding more to the toolbox. 🤍

Don’t forget the ears 👂🏼

Seriously. Every time I start working around my client’s ears, there’s this moment of “wait… why does this feel SO good?”

The ears are often completely forgotten in bodywork, even though they’re connected to so much of what’s happening around the jaw, face, scalp and neck. Parts of the outer ear also have vagal innervation, which makes this such an interesting area to work with when we’re trying to invite the nervous system to settle.

And you can actually watch that shift happen here — her breathing gets slower, her shoulders drop, and her body starts melting into the table.

There’s also a fascial and lymphatic piece to this that creates more freedom through the tissues surrounding the ears, jaw, face and neck can support movement through areas involved in lymphatic drainage from the head and neck.

I’m big on the not aggressively trying to “release” anything. Heavy on the slow listening with my hands, sensing the tissue and moving with the rhythm of your body instead of deciding where it needs to go.
Sometimes I’m barely moving at all.
Which apparently is all it takes to make people question why no one has been massaging their ears their entire lives. 😂

No music today, just presence 🤍
