Come to Cecil Community Centre at 6:30pm for our live band social with Martin Loomer and the Orange Devils, or start your day off earlier with workshops at St. Barnabas at noon!

**THIS JUST IN**
On the SECOND BAND BREAK of Toronto's World Lindy Hop Day dance this Saturday, we will throw a JUST DO IT CONTEST.

HOW IT WORKS:
1. NO SIGN UP NECESSARY! Just be on the dance floor and be ready to dance!
2. Choose your style: grab a friend and do lindy OR dance individually and do solo jazz!
3. DANCE! You will dance to four to five songs of various tempos for around 90 seconds each.
4. On the last song, judges will *TAP IN* three finalists. If you get tapped in, that means you're dancing in finals! Finalist can be a couple or an individual.
5. Finals will be AUDIENCE JUDGED. Finalists will trade choruses for jam style spotlight. Don't worry, we'll count you in.

🤓Curious about tomorrow's lesson?

🌻Raoul will be sharing a cultural take on authentic jazz dance🌻
We'll be learning about how the basics influence our emotion and how approach can shift that. How to play inside of it and the work it takes to really embody the form. We will spend time thinking about what it also looks and feels like outside of our references and imagine, what music feels like if we embody it from just a music stand point 🎶
