Cedarvale Community Garden Cedarvale Community Garden is a membership-based communal garden where we grow vegetables, herbs and fruit.

Membership is open to anyone who will commit themselves to working in the garden.

Do you live in a neighborhood in Toronto or York Region that has an urban farm or a community garden? If yes, we would like to hear from you.

We invite you to participate in Seneca Polytechnic’s research study on the impact of urban farms and community gardens on your neighborhood.

You have the option to share your experiences by participating in either a 20-minute online survey or a 60–90-minute focus group (virtual or in-person). Focus group participants will receive an honorarium.

Looking forward to our rhubarb emerging in spring ...

When rhubarb first pops up in late winter, it’s basically setting the tone for the whole season. This is when the plant decides how strong and productive it’s going to be, so a smooth start really matters. If things go well early on, rhubarb grows with confidence and keeps producing thick, juicy stalks for months. A good beginning now is what makes those big spring and summer harvests possible.
