Not the type of effort you want to see from the Leafs, who seem to be falling into some nasty habits..

Up 4-1 early, Chicago tied it it up 4-4 before Toronto pulled out a late goal for 5-4 win at the end of the game.

Justin Holl was a disaster, ton of turnovers.. Keefe will be chirping the guys despite the victory..

Interesting news coming out that the Blue Jays pursued Corey Seager, but weren't willing to match the Rangers 10 year ($325 million) offer.

Means the Jays are very open to increasing payroll when everyone gets back to baseball..

The big news of the night was the announcement that Jason Spezza received a 6 game suspension for his hit on Neal Pionk, very likely to be appealed...

Auston Mathews scored 2 goals and Morgan Rielly had 4 helpers to lead the Leafs to a 5-4 win over the Blue Jackets.

Even Nick Ritchie finally got his first goal for the Leafs tonight!

Next game is Thursday against Tampa Bay...

After a wild affair in Winnipeg, the Leafs are seriously short-handed as they return home to play against the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.

Marner - out 3-4 weeks thanks to Muzzin colliding with him in practice

Sandin - out 2-3 weeks (or longer) thanks to Pionk's dirty knee-knee hit

Spezza - about to be suspended in retaliation for the Pionk hit on Sandin

The Raptors beat the Wizards 102-90 tonight, but I'm talking about the Leafs game instead...

The Leafs lost 6-3 to the Jets and it was the type of game that just may take this team deeper in the playoffs.

I'll start by talking about the game on Saturday when Foligno took a full run at Campbell that almost took his head off.. and there was no response.

I've also noticed other teams taking frequent liberties on Leafs stars and nothing being done about it...

That all stopped tonight, when Dubois manhandled Matthews for a couple of minutes behind the play -- but all s*it broke loose on a really dirty knee-knee hit between Pionk and Sandin..

Looks like Sandin might be out for an extended period of time.

Simmonds got boxed twice, Clifford dropped them once..

The Maple Leafs stuck up for themselves and games like this build character...

Mark March 31st on your calendars, these same Winnipeg Jets come to Toronto and fans will be waiting.....

Blake Wheeler had two points in his 1000th career game as the Jets defeated the Maple Leafs 6-3.
