Hello everyone! SBC is back with a trickshot challenge for all the badminton lovers to kickstart this semester! By submitting your own badminton trickshot video, you're given a chance to win badminton equipment from Yumo Pro Shop! So, what are you waiting for? Send a creative trickshot video of yours now!

The registration period for the contest is from Jan 21st @ 12pm EST - Jan 27th @ 11.59 pm EST. A winner will be chosen based on the number of likes you get for the video posted on social media. Voting will be open from Jan 28th - Jan 31th, and the winner will be contacted via email on Feb 1.

Contest rules:
- Videos do not have to be recent but must be your own
- Trickshot can be completed on or off a badminton court
- You can submit more than one video to increase your chance of winning this challenge.
- Be creative!

Voting Rules:
- The videos will be posted on our Instagram and Discord Server.
- You can vote for the same vote on different platforms.

Attention all UofT badminton players!! The University of Toronto Badminton Club (UTBC) and Skule Badminton Club (SBC) will be holding an off-campus DOUBLES badminton tournament.

Date: Sunday, November 28th 2021
Location: Epic Sports Badminton Club (39 Bertrand Ave, Scarborough
Cost: UTBC and SBC members - $5 per player, Non-members - $12 per player
Time: WARM-UP 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM
GAMES START @ 10:00 AM

NOTE: Filling out this registration form does NOT guarantee a spot in the tournament. The tournament will be first-come-first-serve - we will get back to you via email regarding whether you have been placed in the main draw or on the waiting list for the tournament. Payments will be held until after a confirmed spot in the tournament (Nov. 24).

*You may sign up with a partner or by yourself. If you are signing up with a partner, registration is only complete when we have received the google forms from both players on the team*

There will be two divisions for both men and women divisions. Please note that you will only be eligible to sign up for one division. We hold the right to move any players across divisions as we see fit.

If you or your partner are late to the scheduled match, you will be given a 10 minute grace period to arrive. If you and your partner do not show up, you will be forfeited from the game.

Other Notes:
- PROOF OF VACCINATION IS REQUIRED TO PLAY
- PRIZES: $20 Uber Eats Gift Card for each player of the winning team in each category.
- FORMAT: The tournament will be in a double-elimination format, where each team is guaranteed at least 2 games.
- SHUTTLES: We will be providing plastic shuttles for each game. If both teams agree, then you may use your own feather shuttles for the match.
- Please be aware that non-marking shoes are required to play in the facility (black soles not allowed).

We will be hosting this court hour at Epic Sports Badminton Center from 2:00-4:00 PM.

Space is limited, so sign up quickly! The first 20 people will be invited to play at this week's court hours. Others will be added to the waiting list and will be contacted once space is available. The form will close on Friday at 12:00 PM

Members will be allowed entry for free. Non-members are required to pay a $5 fee for each court hour they attend. Please pay in-person with cash or by e-transfer.

Half-Year membership: $10
Full-Year membership: $20
You will receive a $5 discount on the Full-Year membership if you register anytime between now and the UTSU Fall Clubs Fair!

This one-time fee would be paid at your first court hour/tournament (so hurry up and register immediately!). Members do not have to pay for the court hours, so be sure to join as a member and play for free!

Thank you to those who joined us for our court hours and tournaments over the school year. Due to the current circumstances, we unfortunately had to cancel our tournaments and planned SBC events. But we are hoping to get things running again once things get back to normal.
