🌍🎉 Happy World Volleyball Day! 🎉🌍

Today, we celebrate the power of volleyball across the globe! A huge congratulations to all the players, coaches, and fans out there making this sport so special.

We also want to give a special shoutout to Coach Mohammad Yousuf Sadeq, who was interviewed by Islamic Games president Salahudin Nurodin. He shared his insights on why this day is so important for building community, fostering teamwork, and inspiring the next generation of athletes.

🏐✨ We’re thrilled to celebrate World Volleyball Day with an inspiring video from the Islamic Games Volleyball Tournament!

In partnership with Afghan Volleyball Association, Global Volleyball Academy, and Volleyball Ontario, we interviewed some of our amazing players from the tournament! For each question they answered, they received a free Volleyball Ontario shirt, celebrating unity and faith in the sport we love.

🏐 Islamic Games Volleyball Tournament 2026

What an incredible weekend of volleyball!

We are proud to have successfully hosted the Islamic Games Volleyball Tournament in Canada, powered by the Afghan Volleyball Association and organized by Global Volleyball Academy.

Over the course of the tournament, we witnessed outstanding sportsmanship, dedication, and competition across all three divisions:

🏆 Male Competitive
Champions: Indocan Volleyball Club
Runner-Up: OR Volleyball Club

🏆 Male Recreational
Champions: Kabul Volleyball Club
Runner-Up: Badakhshan Volleyball Club

🏆 Women’s Open
Champions: Court Queens
Runner-Up: Out of the Blue

A special thank you to Islamic Games for bringing this incredible platform from the USA to Canada and giving our athletes the opportunity to compete under their banner.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors, especially Hayat Home, Naan Kabob, and Volleyball Ontario, for their generous support in making this tournament a success.

To our referees, volunteers, coaches, athletes, and team managers—thank you for your professionalism, respect, and commitment to fair play throughout the event.

Finally, thank you to all the spectators, volleyball fans, families, and enthusiasts who came out to support us. Your energy and passion created an unforgettable atmosphere and made the tournament truly special.

🇦🇫🏐 Afghan Volleyball Shines in Virginia!

On November 8, Afghans in Virginia, USA came together for an incredible volleyball tournament featuring 18 strong teams from across the region.

This year, two teams from Ontario—Kabura and Isteqlal—traveled to represent our community under the leadership of AFCAN Director, Ustad Shadkam Nawabi.

We are proud to share that Kabura dominated the tournament, defeating every opponent and bringing the championship home!

A special congratulations to Ali Sadat, who was selected as both Best Player and MVP of the entire tournament for his outstanding performance and talent on the court.

This is a proud moment for our community and a reminder of the talent, unity, and spirit Afghans bring wherever they go. 🇦🇫🏆

On November 1, 2025, the AFCAN Volleyball Association proudly celebrated its First Annual General Assembly, marking a historic milestone in our mission to strengthen and unite the Afghan volleyball community across Canada.

The ceremony was graced by the Director, Board of Directors, players, community leaders, sponsors, and supporters who have played a vital role in AfCAN’s journey since its founding.

During the event, AFCAN:
📊 Presented its Yearly Master Plan, a two-year activity record, and a transparent financial report, reflecting the organization’s growth and accountability.
🏅 Honoured top players and outstanding athletes in the community.
🏐 Recognized the first female volleyball club founded under AfCAN’s leadership — a proud moment for women’s sports and inclusion.

Congratulations to CABC on an Exceptional Conference

On behalf of the AFCAN Volleyball Association and its members, we extend our sincere congratulations to the Canada Afghanistan Business Council, its President, esteemed Board of Directors, dedicated team, and distinguished attendees for orchestrating an outstanding and impactful conference.

The program was a remarkable success — thoughtfully curated to convene business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders in an environment that fostered dialogue, innovation, and collaboration.

We were privileged to host a dedicated booth, where we presented the mission and vision of the AFCAN Volleyball Association. This platform allowed us to engage in meaningful conversations with influential business leaders and community representatives regarding the value of sports in empowering youth, fostering leadership, and strengthening community cohesion.

We are pleased to share a selection of moments from the event that reflect the energy and spirit of collaboration.
