As you may or may not know, one of Elena’s last wishes was to see the Arte Flamenco website stay on as long as possible. While the original Arte Flamenco site has since been disconnected, we managed to rebuild the website beforehand in a free space which I’m happy to share with you now:

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our teacher and Artistic Director of Arte Flamenco, Elena La Comadre, on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Elena was gifted with the art of dance. Through that gift she held a sacred connection with her audience, the music and the divine. And she expressed it through FLAMENCO.

She shared her gift generously and passionately with her students. Her drive for excellence pushed them to reach their fullest potential, and she did so with equal parts discipline and love.
