Dear Friends

The Tamil Canadian Badminton Strokers - 8th Annual Badminton Tournament was a huge success. The tournament was started and ended as planned. There were around 130 participants (30% more than last year) were played in 11 doubles categories (around 80 entries). The games were started around 7:30 AM in 16 courts and after 10 AM, the games were continued in 8 courts.

As planned, a ceremony was held at 11 AM where we welcomed & thanked the participants and shared the growth & hardship behind the tournament arrangements. Thanks to Senior Coach Willie Malang for joining as a Chief Guest and awarding the winners for the morning completed games.

Tournament Software was introduced in the tournament for online registrations and publishing draws and results. As usual, we communicated with participants (Email and Phone) about the Tournament Schedules with each event start/end time along with exact court details. Tournament Software helped us to automate lots of manual work and helped in communicating the draws upfront with participants and others.

Huge thanks to all the participants for coming on-time and cooperating with organizers, referees and volunteers. A special thanks to those who came at 7 AM to participate in the morning games.

We extend the thanks to all the Volunteers, Referees and Line Judges for their hard work and dedication to successfully complete the tournament.

A Big thanks to Elson Badminton Club, Toronto Smashers Badminton Club, Feather Smashers, Friends Badminton Club and Others for their various supports specially coordinating on entries and payments.

Thanks to Epic Badminton for providing the venue and their full support for successfully hosting the tournament.

Last but not least, thanks to those who brought food, snacks, coffee, etc and shared them with friends and other participants. Hats off to you!
