Receiving these emails from people who not only appreciate and put into practice what we’ve worked on but incur the added expense of travelling from out of the GTA, province or country to take lessons with us, truly makes it all worth while. I smile ear to ear when reading these:
Hi Mark
Thanks for the video taking the Tension out. And thank you for the
Great lessons last week.
Here is an update on how we are doing.
So- we didn’t get to a range here but managed to book a tee time
On our 12 hole course, sometimes it’s the only one available here.
We decided to play it as a practice round to use what you taught
Us. Carole was getting along quite well with only a few problems here and there. I was really bad. Lost 5 balls and was all over the
Place. Realized that I was trying to think of and do everything at the
Same time.
So - we got a tee time luckily the next day on our 18 hole course. I told Carole maybe we should just focus on a couple of things
rather than everything at the same time. 2 many things in our heads.
I focused on Alignment and finishing the swing only for now.
Anyway, we both had the best games since June.
Carole was 40-43. 83. She had one other at 83 early this year.
I was 43-38- 81. Lowest since coming back from Arizona.
Only broke 85 twice in the last 2 months.
Had 7 pars on back 9. Alignment worked great , irons were much
Straighter and online. Came up short a number of times but in front
Of the green for easy chip and putt to make pars.
Made a big difference.
Finally hit the green on that Island Hole. Straight at the pin, leaving
A 15 footer. Very Happy. Didn’t feel too stressed on the hole as I
Was hitting them pretty straight all day with new set up. Only missed 2 fairways all day. My usual miss left, but
Not any trouble. New alignment set up allowed me to get around
Easier to finish my swing. Had an easier swing too.
Anyway, we are working on the swing and realize that it will take
Time and maybe don’t try to do everything at once, especially on
The course. Will go to the range for that.
The Lessons were definitely worth the money and the trip to
Toronto. Thanks for the great explanations that we could actually
Understand. Alot of Pros don’t know how to explain it and why.
We certainly have Hope again and are looking forward to actually
Practicing. We wrote a list of all the things we need to work on.
Key points to bring to the range.
Thanks again.
Rick Lefebvre
PS- if you’re ever in Montreal or for a Leaf game , let us know. Maybe we could meet up. But we are gone this year from November 5- end of April.
