Eight years.

Eight years of mats rolled out on these cork floors.
Of candles by the window.
Of savasana, and the quiet after.

This little studio on the Danforth exists because of you,
so we’re celebrating the only way we know how.

Our 8th Birthday Sale is coming.

Early access is Friday, November 20,
just for our First to Know list.

Our best class pack prices of the year,
a birthday bonus with every pack,
and goodie bags for the first 80 students.

The sale opens to everyone Saturday, November 21 to Monday, November 23.

Join the list through the link in our bio
so you’re first in line.

Thank you for eight beautiful years.
Here’s to many more.

What exactly is a bandha? 👀

You may have heard your yoga teacher cue Mula Bandha or Uddiyana Bandha in class - but understanding what the bandhas are, how they work, and why we use them can completely change the way you experience your practice.

Traditionally described as energetic “locks,” the bandhas bring awareness, stability and intention to the body and breath. Swipe through for a little introduction to the three primary bandhas…

- Mula
- Uddiyana
- Jalandhara

….and how they come together as Maha Bandha. ✨

And this is exactly the kind of thing we love to dive deeper into during Teacher Training. 🤓

Our Yoga Teacher Training begins October 2 at Toronto Yoga Co. Whether your goal is to teach, deepen your own practice, understand the why behind what you’ve been doing in class, or finally figure out what your teacher means when they tell you to “engage your bandhas” 😂 YTT gives you the space to explore yoga well beyond the poses.

There’s still time to join us. 🤍

✨ CHECK YOURSELF IN AT TYC! ✨

Checking in for class is easier than ever - and you’ve got two easy ways to do it! 🙌

📱 CHECK IN THROUGH THE TYC APP
When it’s time for class, you’ll receive a push notification letting you know check-in is open. Tap the notification, hit “Check In” beside your class, and you’re all set!

OR

✨ USE OUR SELF CHECK-IN KIOSKS
No phone? No problem! When you arrive, simply use one of the self check-in kiosks in our lobby area.

No need to wait for our lovely front desk team - just check yourself in and head to class. 🥹💕

And don’t forget: checking in is important! It lets us know you made it to class and helps you avoid being marked as a no-show and receiving a no-show charge.

📱 App or kiosk - whichever is easiest for you. Just remember to check yourself in!

Having trouble? Our team is always happy to help.

See you in class! 🧘‍♀️✨

✨ A little self check-in reminder! ✨

Skip the front desk and check yourself in using our studio kiosk OR the self check-in feature right in the Toronto Yoga Co. App! 🙌

Especially if you’re joining us for a Deck Class -please remember to self check-in before heading to the deck! ☀️🧘‍♀️

And speaking of the deck… only 12 DAYS LEFT of outdoor classes before we pack it in for the season! 🥹🌿

Soak up those last few sunny flows with us!! Deck Classes officially wrap September 30! ☀️✨

One thing about TYC you need to know is - we always got you covered!

If you need mats, blocks, straps, blankets, and/or bolsters - we’ve got them!

For reformer pilates classes we do require students to wear grip socks which you can buy or rent in the studio.

Need a high-five at the end of the session? We’ve got that for you too!

To waitlist or not to waitlist hmmm... 🤔

That’s not even a question because the answer is YES!

Signing up for the waitlist is totally worth it—EVERY time! Once a spot opens up, you’ll receive an email, and you’ll be ready to roll on your mat.

Just remember, our waitlists are as efficient as they come. So, if you’ve had a change of plans, do yourself a favour and remove yourself from the waitlist.

This way, you’ll steer clear of any late cancellation fees. No one wants to be hit with a $29 no-show fee… yikes! 🫢

Put yourself on that waitlist with confidence, and we’ll see you on the mat! Can’t wait to see you! 🙌

Happy “last day of summer”! ☀️

Okay, okay… I know it’s not actually the last day of summer. But there’s something about the return to school (doesn’t matter if you’re a student, a parent, teacher, or none of the above) that always makes Labour Day feel like the unofficial end of summer and the return to routine..

😭😭😭

Don’t worry, summer vibes will continue on our outdoor Deck through to September 30, so there’s still plenty of time for a few more outdoor classes before we officially say goodbye to the season. ☀️🌿

Hope you’re soaking up every last bit of the long weekend and enjoying a very happy Labour Day!

We’ll see you back in the studio on Tuesday, ready to get back into the swing of things. 🤍
