Your brain doesn’t build new connections when everything feels easy. It builds them when it’s challenged.

When you try to follow an unfamiliar move, your brain is constantly working:
✨ coordinating left and right sides of your body
✨ predicting the next movement
✨ adapting when you make mistakes
✨ improving balance, timing and reaction speed

That’s called neuroplasticity: your brain’s ability to create and strengthen neural pathways through practice.

So no, you don’t have to get every move right. You just have to keep trying.

That’s one of the reasons I love teaching Zumba. Every class is cardio, but it’s also a workout for your brain.

And honestly? Most people in their 30s and 40s need that just as much as they need the calories burned.
