A running club for youth ages 8 and older with a focus on mid to long distance.

Toronto West Athletics (TWA) is a mid to long distance running club with the mission to one day produce an Olympic champion. The coaches at TWA are all former competitive runners and between them have many decades of coaching experience. Our vision is to provide a coaching and training environment to help aspiring distance runners achieve their full potential. Our club offers a range of training p

rograms, starting with our developmental program suitable for children entering Grade 3 all the way to a university program for highly competitive athletes.

It was a beautiful clear evening for the first Girls and Women’s Twilight Meet! We had strong races in the 800, 1500, and 3000m! Shoutout to Marisa with the biggest PB in her only 3000m of the season running 10:32.77, Alexandra with her first ever 3000m running 10:42.17, and Lily for winning her 800m heat with a nice kick! Congratulations to everyone who raced and thank you to the organizers and officials for putting on a fantastic event! Looking forward to next year! #800 #1500 #3000

AO U20 and Open Championships
The Windsor community put on a great event - thank you! Thanks to the dedicated volunteers!
Our small team gained some valuable championship racing experience. Shoutout to Juan 3rd in the 3000m and 5th in the 1500m. Congrats to Owen, Daniel, and Suhayb on their gutsy races.

Athletics Canada U20 and Open Championships 2026

Daria started us off as a first year open running the qualifying rounds for the 800m and 1500m with some solid races.

Maya raced her first 3000m steeplechase running a club record 11:07.66 and winning U20 bronze.

Next up was the 3000m where Maya ran another club record in 10:04.37 for 16th

Daniel was up next breaking 9:00 for the first time in 8:57.19 He’s off to McMaster this fall.

Juan and Owen continue to push the 3000m limits running 8:38.61 and .84 for 12th and 13th (fastest U17 in Canada this year for Owen!)

Shoutout to all the officials and volunteers for all your work in challenging weather 🌧️💨!
