You lost 20, 30, maybe even 40 pounds… but you still don’t look as lean as you thought you would.
That’s where a lot of guys get stuck.
They pick a goal weight, hit it, and assume the cut is done.
Then calories go back up.
A couple off-track weekends happen.
They gain 5–10 pounds. Their waist gets softer. They stop liking how they look.
And before long, they’re back in another cut.
That’s why I care more about a body-fat goal than a random scale number.
For a lot of men, getting to around 15% body fat gives you more room to live, eat more, build muscle, and handle normal fluctuations without immediately feeling like you need to diet again.
The scale is useful.
But if your real goal is to look lean, muscular, and stay out of a constant cut-and-regain cycle, body composition matters more.
Don’t just ask:
“What do I want to weigh?”
Ask:
“How lean do I want to be when I’m done?”
Hit save for the next time you come close to the end of your cut
