Kat International Wellness Hormone health & wellness for high-performing women ready to reclaim their power. Hypothyroidism | PCOS | Postpartum | Perimenopause

AT THE AGE OF 17, I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH HYPOTHYROIDISM

After many tests and numerous visits to the doctor, I was put on a pill which my body rejected. My Endocrinologist suggested to do a radioactive iodine treatment which lowers the thyroid hormone level to its regular production. Unfortunately, that destroyed my thyroid gland, production of the thyroid hormone and turned it into hypothyroidism. At that point, I was prescribed Synthroid which is a drug that has strong side effects and must be taken for life. MY PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION

After years of struggle, major weight gain, and weighing 183lbs at my heaviest at the age of 29, I decided to take control of my life by setting a goal to compete with the WBFF in the transformation division in July 2018 in NYC. That decision changed my life. I placed 1st in Transformation and 3rd in Bikini. Fast forward to 2019 I competed in the WBFF Orlando show and placed 4th out of 10. Now I have set a new goal to get my WBFF Pro Card. HOW KAT INTERNATIONAL FITNESS BEGAN

I had no idea what I was doing all those years without the gym. The way it has made me feel mentally and emotionally is indescribable. It has instilled discipline in me, it has pushed me to my limits and beyond. It has brought out both physical and mental strength I did not know I had but above all it has allowed me to take back control of my life from hypothyroidism. The most important way it has changed my life is how it’s affecting those around me. The amount of people that have reached out asking for help and guidance with hypothyroidism, weight loss, goals to step on stage or to simply get their confidence back has been overwhelming and so inspiring. That became my calling card for the launch of KAT International Fitness.

IF YOUR THYROID COULD TEXT YOU… what would it say? 📱😭

Maybe:
“Can we check those labs again?”
“Please stop starving me.”
“Why are we freezing AGAIN?”
“Can we talk about the hair in the shower?”
Or simply…
“Send help.” 🫠

Living with hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s can sometimes feel like your body is constantly trying to get your attention.

Fatigue.
Brain fog.
Hair shedding.
Feeling freezing when everyone else is fine.
Weight changes that don’t make sense.
Puffiness.
Constipation.
Feeling like your body just isn’t responding the way it used to.

And no, the answer isn’t always eat less, train harder and blame yourself.

Your body isn’t the enemy.

Sometimes it’s asking you to pay attention.

To your thyroid labs.
Your medication and how you’re taking it.
Your nutrition.
Your iron and ferritin.
Your B12 and vitamin D.
Your sleep.
Your stress.
Your recovery.
And most importantly… your symptoms.

Because “normal” on paper doesn’t automatically mean you feel your best.
And if you’ve been struggling for months or years, you deserve more than being told to simply try harder.

Now I want to know 👇
Which slide felt like YOUR thyroid personally texting you? 😂
Drop the number or tell me what your thyroid would say in the comments.

📌 SAVE this for the day you need to laugh instead of cry.
↗️ SHARE it with your thyroid bestie who will understand immediately.

And if you’re dealing with hypothyroidism and you’re unsure where to even start with your wellness journey, comment THYROID below or DM me THYROID 🦋

I’d love to hear what you’ve been going through and see how I can support you 💖

PERIMENOPAUSE ISN’T JUST HOT FLASHES and struggling with your body during this transition isn’t a lack of discipline. 🔥

On World Menopause Day, I want more women to understand this:

Your body can start responding differently in your 40s.
Sleep changes.
Cravings change.
Stress hits differently.
Body composition changes.
Energy, libido, skin, mood and brain fog can all shift.
And sometimes, doing more of what used to work isn’t the answer.

This beautiful client came to me at 41; a wife, mom of two and VP of Sales. Successful in every area of her life, but completely burnt out and frustrated with how she felt in her body.
We stopped focusing on restriction and started building healthy habits around nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, recovery and her hormonal needs.

The result?
✨ 22 lbs down
✨ 18 inches lost
✨ better sleep
✨ less puffiness
✨ more energy
✨ clearer thinking
✨ increased confidence
✨ and a completely different relationship with her health

But THIS is my favorite part:

She didn’t have to stop being an incredible executive, wife or mom to prioritize herself.

Taking care of herself allowed her to show up even stronger in all of those roles.

Perimenopause and menopause require a different conversation; one that goes far beyond “eat less and exercise more.”

Women deserve education.
Women deserve support.
And women deserve to know there are strategies that can help them feel strong, confident and in control of their health again.

💗 SAVE this for the days you need the reminder.
💗 SHARE this with a woman navigating perimenopause or menopause.
💗 COMMENT “SUPPORT” if you’re ready to stop guessing and want to know what the right strategy could look like for you.

Happy World Menopause Day. Let’s keep talking about it. 🦋

10/18/2026

“Just eat less and exercise more.”

Can we PLEASE stop saying this to women in perimenopause and menopause?

Because if the same things you’ve done for years suddenly aren’t working anymore…
you are not imagining it.

Perimenopause can change the way your body responds to food, exercise, stress, sleep and recovery.

You may notice:
→ weight changing or shifting around your mid section
→ poor sleep
→ brain fog
→ anxiety or irritability
→ exhaustion
→ changes in strength and muscle
→ feeling like you’re doing “everything right” but your body isn’t responding the same way

And yet so many women are still being told:
“Your labs are normal.”
“Eat less.”
“Do more cardio.”
“It’s just aging.”
“Try harder.”

No. Women deserve better than that.

Today is World Menopause Day, and if there is ONE message I want women to hear, it’s this:

Your body is changing.

That doesn’t mean you need to punish it harder.
It means you need to learn how to support it differently.

And you absolutely CAN feel strong, confident, energized and like yourself again 👑

👇 PERI/MENOPAUSE WOMEN: What symptom did nobody warn you about?

I want women reading these comments to realize they are not alone 🙏🏼

SEND this to a woman who needs to hear this today.
And SAVE it for the days you start questioning yourself.

IF YOUR THYROID LABS ARE “NORMAL” BUT YOU STILL FEEL LIKE S**T, SAVE THIS 👇🏼

Because “normal labs” should never translate to “your symptoms aren’t real.”

If you’re still exhausted…
Freezing when everyone else is comfortable…
Constipated…
Losing your hair…
Walking around in a brain fog…
Puffy…
Or struggling with unexplained weight changes…

The conversation shouldn’t end with:

“Everything looks fine.”
It should become:
“Okay, what do we investigate next?”
Ask what was actually tested.

Look at your results, not just the word NORMAL.
Compare them with previous labs.

If you’re already taking thyroid medication, review your dose, timing, consistency and possible medication/supplement interactions with your prescriber.

And if your thyroid results don’t explain why you still feel terrible, look beyond the thyroid.

Iron and ferritin.
Vitamin B12.
Vitamin D.
Sleep.
Stress.
Nutrition.
Perimenopause.
PMOS.
Blood-sugar issues.
Medication side effects.
Other medical conditions.

Because sometimes the answer is thyroid-related.
Sometimes it isn’t.

But “we don’t see it on this test” is NOT the same thing as “nothing is wrong.”

And after reading hundreds of comments from women around the world on my viral thyroid reel, this is the part I wish more women knew:

You are allowed to keep asking questions.
You are allowed to ask for your actual results.
You are allowed to ask what else could be causing your symptoms.
You are allowed to ask what the next step is.
You are allowed to seek another medical opinion.
Advocating for yourself isn’t demanding a diagnosis. It’s refusing to let the conversation end while you’re still struggling.

📌 SAVE this for your next appointment.
↗️ SHARE it with a woman who has been told “everything is normal.”

And now I really want to hear your stories:

👇 What symptom were you struggling with when you were told your labs were “normal”? What happened next?

Tell me in the comments. I want women reading this to see just how many of us have had this experience.

And if you’re navigating hypothyroidism and want support, comment THYROID below or DM me THYROID🦋

19 YEARS LATER… AND WOMEN ARE STILL BEING TOLD THE SAME FU***NG THINGS.

I was 19 years old when my own hypothyroidism journey began.
I’m 38 now.

And reading the hundreds of comments and DMs underneath my reel has honestly been heartbreaking 💔

Women from Canada.
The U.S.
The UK.
Australia.
India.
Russia.
All over the world.

Different women. Different doctors. Different healthcare systems.
Yet somehow, the stories sound almost identical.

“My labs are normal.”
“Just lose weight.”
“It’s stress.”
“You’re fine.”

Meanwhile, these women are dealing with exhaustion, unexplained weight changes, hair loss, brain fog, puffiness, cold intolerance, mood changes and that horrible feeling of knowing something is wrong in your own body, but not feeling heard.

And what makes me angry?

I was hearing the same things 19 years ago.
NINETEEN YEARS.
And here we fu***ng are.
That is unacceptable.

Women with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s deserve more than a reference range and a five-minute conversation.

We deserve to be listened to.
We deserve education about our thyroid health.
We deserve conversations about our symptoms.
We deserve to understand our options.

And we deserve support that looks at the WHOLE woman, not just one number on a piece of paper.

This is personal for me.

I know what it feels like to not recognize your own body.
I know what it feels like to wonder why you’re doing everything “right” and still feel terrible.

And it’s exactly why helping women navigate their hormonal and thyroid health became part of my life’s work.

But now I want to hear YOUR story.
👇 How long did it take for someone to listen to you?
👇 What symptoms were dismissed?
👇 What were you told when you knew something wasn’t right?

Tell me in the comments. I genuinely want women to see how many of us have experienced this.

And if you’re currently struggling with hypothyroidism and you want support, comment THYROID below or DM me “THYROID.”🦋

POV: your thyroid labs came back “normal”… but you still feel like you’ve been hit by a truck. 🫠

Exhausted. Puffy. Brain fog. Hair shedding. Cold all the time. Struggling with your weight. Zero motivation.

And somehow you’re being told, “Everything looks fine.”

Here’s what I want more women with hypothyroidism to understand:

A lab result falling inside a reference range doesn’t automatically explain why you’re still experiencing symptoms, and it doesn’t mean you should stop asking questions.

Your thyroid health is bigger than ONE number.

Your symptoms, medication, nutrition, iron and B12 status, sleep, stress, recovery, movement and overall health can all be pieces of the puzzle.

I know how defeating it feels to be told you’re “fine” when you know you don’t feel like yourself.

That’s exactly why I made it my mission to help women with hypothyroidism feel informed, empowered and supported instead of dismissed.

If this reel made you laugh because it’s painfully accurate… SHARE it with the woman who will immediately understand😂

And if you’re ready finally start taking control of your thyroid health:

or
💌 DM me “THYROID”
and I’ll send you the next steps for working with me.

You do not have to settle for simply surviving with hypothyroidism🦋

Women are praised for how much they can carry.
Their families.
Their careers.
Their homes.
Their grief.
Everyone else’s needs.

But no one talks enough about what happens when a woman spends so long being strong for everyone else that she forgets she is also someone worth caring for.

That is what makes my mom’s transformation so meaningful to me.
It wasn’t only about losing 15 pounds or beginning to exercise for the first time.
It was about watching a woman who had devoted so much of herself to others begin choosing herself again, without guilt.

Not through punishment.
Not by chasing her younger body.
Not by pretending menopause wasn’t happening.

She started honouring the body carrying her into this next chapter.

And that is the reminder I want every woman to hear:
You are allowed to care deeply for the people you love without abandoning yourself in the process.
You are allowed to need support.
You are allowed to begin again at any age.
And taking care of yourself doesn’t make you selfish, it reminds you that your life matters too. 💖

Save this for the woman who always puts herself last, and share it with someone who deserves to come home to herself🫶🏼

If you’re waiting for hot flashes to tell you you’re in perimenopause… you may be missing the earlier signs👀

Perimenopause can begin years before menopause, and for many women the first changes look a lot less obvious:

Brain fog.
Poor sleep.
Mood changes.
Headaches.
Lower energy.
Changes in your cycle.
Weight becoming harder to manage.
Workouts suddenly feeling harder to recover from.

And no, you do not need to just “push harder,” eat less, or accept feeling terrible because you’re getting older.

This stage of life is often a signal to start working with your body differently.

That can mean:
✨ Tracking your cycle, sleep, mood, energy & symptoms, not relying on one lab result alone
💪 Prioritizing progressive strength training to protect muscle, bone & metabolic health
🚶‍♀️ Moving consistently without believing every workout needs to destroy you
🥩 Eating enough protein and paying attention to nutrients like calcium, vitamin D, fibre, iron, B12 & magnesium based on your individual needs
😴 Taking sleep, stress management & recovery seriously
🩺 Having conversations with a menopause-informed healthcare provider about the options available to you

Your body isn’t suddenly “failing you.”
It may simply be asking for a different strategy than the one that worked in your 20s.

And the sooner women understand what perimenopause symptoms can actually look like, the sooner we can stop dismissing them as “just stress,” “just aging,” or “just needing more discipline.”

SAVE this post so you can come back to it when something starts feeling different.

SHARE it with a woman in her 30s or 40s who needs to know this BEFORE she’s in the thick of it.

And tell me in the comments: what perimenopause symptom surprised you the most?👇🏼
