What a wonderful day at HYC as we celebrated our annual Sailpast!

One of the highlights of the tradition is the salute to the Commodore as vessels pass in review. In this video, our Fleet Captain offers a salute to Commodore Steve Masson, marking the official opening of another boating season.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make the day such a success. We are looking forward to a fantastic season on the water with our HYC family.

☀️⛵ Summer Starts at Sailpast! ⛵☀️

The boats are in the water, the docks are coming alive, and it’s finally time to celebrate the official start of the summer boating season at Highland Yacht Club!

Join us on Saturday, June 13 for Sailpast 2026, one of our favourite traditions and a day that brings together everything that makes HYC special—friends, family, boating, and community.

Whether you’re a long-time member, a new member experiencing your first Sailpast, or someone curious about what Highland Yacht Club is all about, this is a great day to be at the club. Enjoy the parade of boats, club traditions, great company, and the excitement of another season on the water.

As we look ahead to a summer filled with cruising, racing, social events, sunsets on the deck, and unforgettable memories, Sailpast is our chance to come together and celebrate the season ahead.
