We are so excited to introduce you to the newest member of the Brookdale Fitness Club team. Meet Rob Hunter. Rob is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Growing up in Toronto, Rob played AAA hockey and box/field lacrosse. His passion for athletics led him to earn a Division 1 lacrosse scholarship to Siena College in NY.
Years of competitive contact sports led him to his fair share in injuries and mobility issues. Since getting into the fitness industry he has focused on using weight training to increase mobility, reduce pain and improve performance. He values proper technique and using weight training to create positive change in his clients lives.
Rob now blends his two perspectives of massage therapy and personal training to get his clients moving pain free and doing the activities they love most. He creates a fun, educational and safe environment for his clients to improve themselves.
He also works with youth athletes looking to take their sport to the next level. Currently he is training several hockey and lacrosse players, but has experience with a wide range of other sports. Proper weight training at the youth level is critical in preventing injuries and creating a well-rounded athlete. When you’re next in the gym, please join us in giving Rob a warm welcome!
