Overweight, frustrated, wanting to look and feel better and angry/upset that my efforts don't ever seem good enough! My name is Tyler, better known as: Coach, TK, Broski, Kearney... you know, anything except my first name ;)
As a kid I was always a little chubby but nothing crazy. I had a stroke a birth, it left me with a mild case of Cerebral Palsy and some movement issues. They didn't stop me
from doing much (or anything), but I never did them at super high levels. Some things I avoided because I knew I would stand out.
In my teens/early twenties, working in fast food I gained a BUNCH of weight, and I started to become uncomfortable; Physically, mentally and emotionally. When I decided to take control I was pretty shocked by the results! I lost 100lbs in a few months (Being young is awesome). I gained strength, knowledge and lost fat FOREVER!! The BEST part? - I started to notices improvements in my CP symptoms. As I trained and became more fit, I got better in many ways. Shedding the extra weight made my body easier to manage. Things became easier to learn, and daily skills felt much much easier. This made it easier to notice little things and where strength was missing! I got really serious about it when I saw how beneficial being in shape was to me! If I got that much better, I could help someone else get better. Strength has a purpose. Being in shape helps that purpose. I want to be strong into my old age. I don't want people to have to care for me. If I fall I want to able to get up. Getting stronger, being in good shape and having confidence can be a life changer and a life saver!
