Is art the thing you end up with, or the hours spent lost in making it? and ’s ‘Pinua Mariñela’ explores just this.

Blurring the lines between creativity and surfing, the film follows the voyage to find a magic sandbar across the Basque Country and Moroccan waters. Animation, music and moments all created by hand, with surfing nothing short of that same artistic expression.

We’re spending the time between swells rewatching our favourite surf films and sharing a few from our required watch list with you. Starting here with Pinua Mariñela: something between a canvas and a wandering odyssey..
