Mount Baldy Ski Area * THE BEST FAMILY SKI RESORT * We provide varied terrain for all skill levels of skiers and snowboarders. Group events and chalet rental are available.

Located on the north shore of Lake Superior, Mount Baldy Ski Area has been one of Thunder Bay's most popular destinations for individuals and families for over 60 years. All runs lead to the base chalet, where winter sport enthusiasts are able to take a break and warm up by the fireplace, or watch the action on the hills from the picturesque windows. Guests can enjoy casual fare from the kitchen, while the upstairs bar is serving a wide variety of beverages for adults. Mount Baldy welcomes beginner skiers and snowboarders and makes it easy for guests to be introduced to winter sport. We have a complete rental shop on site with safe, modern equipment in a variety of sizes. Private and group lessons can be booked with certified ski and snowboard instructors for those who are learning, and those who wish to brush up their skills. Another big improvement happening at the hill! 🙌

Peter & Dan have been busy working alongside the crew as we get a brand-new roof installed and checked off the list before winter! ❄️

A huge thank you to Home Hardware and Dykstra Knight Roofing for helping make this project happen!

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on lots of improvements around Mount Baldy, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the hill this winter! 🎿🏂

And we’re not finished yet… more upgrades are on the way! 👀
