Thunder Bay Judo Dojo is a nonprofit martial arts organization that teaches the sport of judo to people of all ages in a safe and fun environment. Whether you are a long-time judo competitor or just want to try out this exciting sport, our four black belt instructors are here to make your experience at the dojo enjoyable and rewarding! Unlike lifting weights at the gym where each exercise isolates

your muscle use, judo requires your entire body to move dynamically. Both your cardio and muscle mass will improve, all the while having fun! Self defence. As your techniques in judo develop, you will be able to defend yourself should you ever be physically confronted. Boost your confidence. Overtime students will foster plenty of confidence to defend themselves against potential bullies without fear, tackle difficult challenges, and heighten their self-esteem. Meet new people. Our dojo is a great place for children and adults to meet. Every year new students enrol in judo and many choose to stay for the friends they make and for the love of the sport! Here is the 2016-2017 schedule:
Sundays: open mat 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Mondays: juniors 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM, intermediates 6:15 PM - 7:00 PM, seniors 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. Wednesdays: seniors 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Come by to our dojo at the Volunteer Pool Community Centre at 180 Martha Street!
