Lakehead Archers will once again be a host site for the Archery Canada Outdoor Mailmatch. As it is difficult to attend National archery competitions, the Outdoor Mailmatch allows archers to shoot scores without having to leave their local club. Each week archers submit one score with the top six scores shot throughout the designated time period used to determine your final placing against archers from across Canada in their respective age and equipment division. The competition takes place from June 1 - September 30, 2026.
Shooting will take place on Wednesdays. Our first score will be shot on Wednesday June 17 at 6pm. Please be on time. Scoring will commence after practice. You will submit your scorecard that was signed by another Archery Canada member to the club's coordinator (Shane Baker) on completion of the 720 round.
The round consists of 12 ends of six arrows. You will have 4 minutes to shoot the six arrows.
An additional $30 is required for targets supplied by the club.
If you are looking to shoot and not be a member of Archery Ontario and Archery Canada the fee will be $40. You will not be eligible for medals from Archery Canada.
If you have any questions please message me and I'd be happy to answer them.
Once you have become a member of Archery Ontario, it includes your Archery Canada membership. You will have a membership number assigned to you.
You will need that number to register for the event.
Good luck!
Shane
