Over 25 years ago The Ski Exchange was created by Thunder Bay's local ski jumping legend Slavomir Kardas. Slav always wanted to help families learn to ski and promote the winter sport he loved so much. The Ski Exchange's mission remains strong in providing the best possible experience through the staff, service and products. It is not just a shop for the experienced skier or snowboarder, as we welcome the opportunity to introduce the beginner to either skiing or snowboarding without the intimidation or confusion that can sometimes occur. We cater to the whole family, from the beginning toddler to the active retiree. We have a long list of return customers, many of which, are third generation.
